A Blog for Reichenbach Theories:
Sharklock (Sherlock is a Hammerhead Shark)
This meme is based - in the vague, general sense that all memes are “sort of” based on a piece of canonical material - on this interview with Benedict Cumberbatch about preparing for the role of Sherlock: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L1QuOkg6N-M. As well as on general observations about how prominent his cheekbones are, to the extent, apparently, of making him look like a hammerhead shark. It seemed only appropriate to give him an animal persona, considering that the fans have already established at least three of them for Martin Freeman (cat, hedgehog, and pug).
The origination of the actual meme was this comic by MadamY on Deviantart:

From this point onward, the meme escalated, eventually arriving at a point where Sherlock is generally depicted as a hammerhead shark wearing a blue scarf and having adventures with a similarly animal-formed John Watson (most commonly a hedgehog these days). A frequent perpetrator of this trope is http://misskeshra.tumblr.com/ who draws a comic called “The Adventures of Sharklock and Jawn” in which Sherlock is (obviously) Sharklock and John is a hedgehog. This and other examples to follow.
In the interest of keeping all my followers up-to-date on the latest Sherlock news, this article invaded Tumblr today and has cause a cavalcade of excitement. It doesn’t explicate a great deal about Series 2, but the phrases “at it for nine months now” and “married or whatever” should sustain the Sherlockians for at least a week or two. Enjoy!
I know that I’m done with the Hustlin’ Holmes entry but this…this was too brilliant to pass up.

Misleading Moriarty
Misleading Moriarty is a Sherlock-specific derivative of this scary guy meme, which has long been popular on the rest of the non-Sherlock internets:

Since everything is, objectively, better with judicious application of Moriarty, the Sherlock fandom took this idea and did this with it:

The idea was inspired by Moriarty’s weirdly protean facial expressions, which more often than not don’t correspond with his lines in any way. The only explanation for this titillating tendency is that Moriarty is equal parts awesome, genius, and batshit crazy. As is consistent with the dialogue in the show, the majority of Misleading Moriarty memes include a variation on the “I will burn you. I will burn the heart out of you.” line from The Great Game, although any misleading phrase is fair game, just as with the original scary dude meme. Examples to follow.

An especially well-known piece of handchuffed fanart (and my personal favorite) from Daaakota on Deviantart.
This is a piece of handchuffed fanart from HAHAAAAAAAAAAAA on Deviantart.
A Fanfiction About Sherlock and John Being Handcuffed
I haven’t read it, I don’t know if it’s good, but here it is. It exists: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/7178017/1/bHandcuffed_b
Handchuffed (Series 2 Spoiler)
(Entry posted by request) Perhaps the most tantalizing Series 2 spoiler we fans have (contending with the photo of Sherlock’s bloody head) is the package of photos and video we have depicting Martin and Benedict as Sherlock and John handcuffed together:

The cuffs themselves are more obvious in the .gif I posted a few days ago, but I can assure you that they are, in fact, stuck together rather than holding hands. What bearing does this have on the plot? There is no word on that yet, but a plethora of fanfiction and fanart has emerged celebrating the idea. Examples to follow.
